At present, China has become the world's automobile manufacturing country and the world's largest automotive potential market. The annual automobile production and sales in China reached 10 million. The auto industry has become the important pillar industry in Chinese national economy. As one of the key cities of China, economical center of upper reaches of the Yangtze River, comprehensive traffic hinge in Southwest China, national famous modern manufacturing base，Chongqing is exerting to develop the primary pillar industry of automobile and motorcycle to build international “Auto City” and “Capital of Motorcycles”. As introduction of development policy for Chongqing issued by the State Council and establishment of national first inland bonded port area, the Two River New Area begins to take shape. Meanwhile, a series of further opening up activities and measures are carrying out. The outline of inland opening up high land and the economic center at upper reaches of the Yangtze River appear. Despite the global financial crisis has brought a greater impact on the world economy, Chongqing's economy still maintained a rapid growth. Chongqing GDP growth reaches to 13.4% from January to September in 2009, ranked No.5 in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair, which is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C and Chongqing Municipal People's Government, has been successfully held for 12 years. The fair function role is more and more prominent. In the last fair, over 380 multinational corporations from the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Russia, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and other 40 countries and areas, 890 the backbone of large domestic enterprises and more than 6000 small and medium sized enterprises participants had enjoyed this activity. The visitors had reached 30 million. In this fair, 349 investment projects signed contracts with a total investment of 150 billion RMB and 853 parties were entered into cooperative intention with sum of 481 million US dollars. Furthermore, over 20 seminars, promotion conferences and docking activities were held during the event. Its size, grade and effectiveness had reached a high record, becoming a leading domestic large-scale international exhibition in West China. The fair has been highly appreciated and well accepted by the Ministry of Commerce, various national authorities and participants. Especially the Auto & Motorcycle and Parts, the machine and parts occupied for half of the sence which received an unexpected effect and satisfied by all participants.
The 13th China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair will be held in Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 20th to May 23rd 2009. The thematic exhibition - "International Automobile & Motorcycle and Parts Exhibition" will be held in the main exhibition hall at the same time. IV. The main supporting activities and publicity
i. During the exhibition, the organizing committee will hold International Logistics Development Forum, Processing Trade and Industry Transfer Project Forum, Finance and Capital Project Conference, International Optical and IT industry Project Conference, Mechanical and Electrical Industrial Projects Conference, Chemical Industrial Projects Conference, Foreign Project Contracting and Labor Service Cooperation Docking Conference, Cultural and Creative Industries Project Conference and other high-level series of economic and trade activities.
ii. Negotiations activities: organizing committee will set up purchase and negotiation booths for collective procurement unit, buyers, distributors, agents, engineering units, large and medium-sized enterprises and industrial plants. Suppliers enter the court for one-on-one and face-to-face negotiation meeting according to pre-match press table and arrange.
iii.Study tours : through the pre-negotiation, participants will be organized to visit suppliers' production capacity, product quality, enterprise management on the spot in whom they are interested;
iv. Publicity: 20 kinds of professional media and mass media will conduct in-depth media coverage, including China Central Television, provinces and cities media, co-organized media organizations of Hong Kong and Macao, China Chongqing Television, radio and newspapers.
V. Effective service
i. Pre-exhibition matching: match suppliers with buyers pre-exhibition to increase of efficiency in the fair.
